Gift Card Redeem Void
Overview
The StoredValueRedeemVoid API rolls back any stored value redemption operation that was executed as part of the checkout flow. This API is typically triggered when the webstore receives either a timeout on the redeem operation or when the order cannot be confirmed for any reason after having finished a redeem operation.
Like all other storedvalue APIs, StoredValueRedeemVoid is a synchronous API, where the client is waiting for the response. In case of timeout, the webstore or Order Management System retries the transaction for a configured number of times. If webstore receives a Failure response, then it is recommended to display a relevant error to the customer in the checkout flow.
Since redeem void is an internal operation, the customer should be shown responses related to redeem and not in relation to the void failure or timeout.
