The Associate DeliveryClosed A fulfillment process in which retail store associate delivers orders to shoppers. workflow enables you, the Store Associate, to pick an order from store inventory and pack it for delivery to the customer. When the packages are ready for delivery, either you or another associate delivers the packages to the customers.

Customers like Associate Delivery because:

  • They can have their orders delivered directly to their doors quickly.
  • It can reduce shipping costs.

Retailers implement Associate Delivery for their online orders for several reasons:

  • Decreases shipping time and expense because orders can be delivered directly from the store to the customer, in some cases while the associate is on the way home after work
  • Can be offered to associates as an extra way to earn money.
  • Trucks that are already moving orders from fulfillment centers to customers' homes can deliver the orders to the store, where the associate takes over the final delivery.

The Pick Process

The pick process is the same for all workflows. This process consists of the following main steps.

  1. Review the orders in your queue.

The Pack Process

  3. Generate packing slips and custom labels for the packages.
  4. Confirm the shipment; adjust packages as necessary.

The Delivery Process

After the orders have been packed for shipment, they are ready for delivery. This process consists of the following main steps.

  1. Review the orders that are ready for delivery.
  2. Select the orders that you are going to deliver.
  3. Print the delivery slips for the orders.
  4. Determine the best route for the deliveries and print the delivery slip with the optimized route.
  5. Deliver the packages.
