In the life cycle of a webstore order, several significant milestones -- such as the order being shipped to the customer -- serve as triggers for event messages. Systems both inside and outside Radial Order Management can listen for these event messages and use their data to initiate followup actions. For example, an Order Shipment event might prompt the payment system to charge the customer's credit card charge. An email system might respond to the same event by sending a shipment confirmation email to the customer.

You can arrange with Radial to subscribe to your store's order event messages and use the events to trigger followup actions in your own systems.
