When a customer orders an item or items that are not in stock at a store, you can have them picked, packed, and shipped to your store, where the customer can then pick them up. This process is known as Ship-to StoreClosed A fulfillment process in which orders are shipped to a retail store where shoppers can pick them up. Also called STS. See also ISPU. (STSClosed Ship-to Store.).

Pick and Pack processes for STS follow the Ship-from StoreClosed A fulfillment process in which orders are shipped from a retail store rather than a warehouse or distribution center. Also called SFS. (SFSClosed Ship-from Store.) workflow. As far as store associates are concerned, there is no difference between an order shipped to a shopper's home or to a different store. Therefore, STS orders share pick and pack queues with SFS orders. Associates at the store that actually ships the order, click the Pick / Pack tiles in the Ship-from Store Section to start Pick or Pack process for STS orders.

The Pick Process

The pick process is the same for all workflows. This process consists of the following main steps.

  1. Review the orders in your queue.
  2. Generate your pick tickets.
  3. Pick the items in the order. Procedures for picking vary; check with your store manager for the procedure used in your store.
  4. Confirm that the pick ticket is complete.

For Pick process for Ship-to Store is the same as that for the Ship-from Store workflow. For details on this process, see Review and Pick Order for Ship-from Store.

The Pack Process

If the order is not shipped from another fulfillment node, but is picked from the same store as the pickup location, this process does not apply.

After you have picked the order and confirmed the pick, it's time to pack the order for shipment. This process consists of the following main steps.

  1. Review orders that are ready to pack.
  2. Scan items into one or more packages.
  3. Generate packing slips and shipping labels for the packages.
  4. Confirm the shipment; adjust packages as necessary.

The packing process for Ship-to Store is the same as that for the Ship-from Store workflow. For details on this process, see Pack and Ship Orders (Ship-from Store and Ship-to Store).

The Check In Process

The exact Check In process that you follow depends on whether the order was shipped to your store from another fulfillment node (such as DCClosed A node type ID that stands for distribution center.) or was picked directly from existing stock at your store.

  • If the order was shipped from another fulfillment node, follow the Check In process.
  • If the order was picked from your store, follow the My Store Orders Check In process.

Regardless, you must ensure that the orders contain the correct items and that the items are undamaged. The check-in steps are essentially the same:

  1. Review the orders that are queued for your store.
  2. For each order, ensure that the order contains the correct items.
  3. Confirm or decline items in the order.
  4. Confirm that the order is checked in and place it in the pickup queue.

For details on the Check In process, see Check In Ship-to Store Orders.
